En 2009 débutait «le plus grand chantier entrepris par le ministère des Transports dans la région de Québec depuis les 25 dernières années»* : le réaménagement de l’échangeur des autoroutes Charest et Robert-Bourassa (440 et 740).

C'est au courant de 2013, pendant les travaux de réaménagement des bretelles d'accès et du pont d'étagement du boulevard Wilfrid-Hamel qu'est apparue progressivement cette étrange «colonne vertébrale» en plein milieu de l'autoroute et du viaduc.

Cette bretelle centrale est réservée aux autobus du Réseau de transport de la Capitale et leur permet d'intégrer et de quitter les voies centrales qui leur sont réservées sur l'autoroute sans avoir à couper le trafic.

Impossible de résister à la tentation d'y placer une cache !  Venez la trouver et découvrir en même temps «l'échine du dragon».

In 2009, Québec's department of transportation started its biggest road work of the last 25 year in Quebec City's area * : the Redevelopment of the Charest and Robert Bourassa highways (440 and 740).

During 2013, while the redevelopment of boulevard Wilfrid-Hamel's ramps and overpass was in progress, this strange «backbone» started to emerge in the middle of the highway and bridge.

That ramp is reserved to «Reseau de transport de la Capitale» (Québec City transit autority) buses and allows them to enter and exit their designated middle lanes on the highway without cutting through automotive trafic.

Impossible to resist placing a cache there! Come find it and, at the same time, discover the «Spine of the dragon».
