The Road to Rio: Quarter-Finals Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Chuffbert: Time to put this series to bed. Unfortunately, a number of the caches have been mugged and two of the sites have become very bad tipping grounds, not the places I'd want people rooting around. The connected nature of these caches means that it's really all or nothing. Likewise, the complexity of the puzzles means resiting is very problematic. Upkeep is proving difficult so it is time to say goodbye to Rio. Does free up a number of sites for new caches!

Geocache Description:

2014 promises to be a great year of sport, with the FIFA Football World Cup smack in the middle.  To celebrate the imminent victory of somebody other than England, I am placing a series of caches that trace the route of the successful team to the final itself.  Read the instructions for each carefully.  Here's hoping you reach your GOAL!

Things are hotting up now, you are in the last eight. Who might your opponents be? Argentina? Italy? Wales? Sorry, this is the FOOTBALL World Cup, forget Wales. Whoever it is, it is a big challenge. You are going to have to be canny in your preparation. Perhaps by watching videos of previous finals and seeing what lessons can be learned. My suggestion is:
Bern
Rio
Mexico City
Pasadena
Santiago (watch it twice)
Madrid and Bern
Buenos Aires
St. Denis
Johannesburg
Madrid (watch it twice, it's good!)
Rome (1) then Yokohama
London and Munich

Enjoy the games; it should be ideal preparation. Also, don't forget to make a note of the two countries whose flags you will find inside the cache. You need this information to reach the FINAL! Please tuck the container away neatly, tightly and, most importantly, away from sight!
