Walking in the V is located in Hungry Mother State Park near Marion, Virginia. The closest parking cords is N36 52.377 W081 30.779 at the boat ramp parking area. There is a $2.00 park use fee unless you are camping or renting a cabin in the park.

Head out on the Lake Trail Loop from the Boat Launch parking lot until you get close to the cords and then turn up into the V. You will have to walk in the dry or wet creek bed / run off to get to GZ. Don’t attempt walking on the steep sides of the V they are too steep. It won't hurt you but it could start an encounter with erosion. Depending on the current season and the rain we have had or having will decide the level of liquid you will walk in. I have seen lots, little and none coming out of this ravine. The cache container is a water proof cell phone holder and has room for small trackables but I forgot to place a writing stick in it BYOP. As you are retreav ing the container watch for Trail Muggles because you will only be a short distance away from the trail. Thanks!
Note: In all Virginia state parks you have to have permission to hide a geocache. Stop by the Headquarters building in the park and ask to talk to the official in charge of reviewing the Geocache Placement Application you will have to obtain from them. Let them be aware of your desire to hide and maintain a geocache in the park. Most parks may ask you to “not” make the cache for Premium members to allow the general plumbic the opportunity hunt while visiting the park.
