This is my first Multi and first night cache. It will take you on a tour of the swamps of Mordor.
The round trip distance is approximately 3 kms (not including the walk to/from the parking areas)
The locations were first scouted out in early January 2014 on snowshoes.
There will be a fair amount of water in one particular section in the spring (watch out for the Balrog!!), so waterproof footwear (and a big stick) are definitely advised.
NOTE: In the spring or after a heavy rain, waterproof footwear (i.e. rubber boots) will definitely be useful.

To find the cache:
Wait until it gets dark and proceed to the posted coordinates from one of the parking areas.
Once there, use your headlamp (preferable) or flashlight to spot the first pair of reflectors (orange and white) and just follow along.
The rules for the reflectors are pretty straightforward:
- If you spot a single reflector, keep moving forward.
- If you spot two reflectors, one above the other, proceed in the direction of the top reflector.
- Changes in reflector colour have no significance for this cache, so no need to count them.
- The tag location will be marked with three vertical reflectors.
Once at the tag location, locate the tag and determine your next step to get to the final.
A helpful hint: To find a better entry point to get to the final, backtrack to the reflector prior to the redirect and proceed from there.
Straightlining it from the redirect will make for a nasty trip; if you chose this route, use protective eye wear.
