This would appear to one of the first caches on this new (2013) bike trail on the Highway 8 side of the Clutha River (not to be confused for the walking trail on the other side of the river which you would use to go to "Rock'n'Roll"). Easy access for bikers and walkers alike, it is a good 5km downstream from the Alexandra Bridge.
If biking from town, cross the Bridge on the biking/pedestrian side, then turn immediately down the track to your right, and then at the bottom, turn left as sign posted. If you are parking a car, if you drive over the Bridge away from Alexandra, turn left about 200m (signposted) and then park in the car park.
The cache is a 450ml systema container and contains a logbook, pen and some swappables for the kids. Although easily spotted if you are a cacher:-) perhaps the adults are best to secure this one as the environment is fragile. Just off the track and reachable from it.
