He had to get out.
The Resistance were closing in quickly. The last coal train was leaving the abandoned town of Piketburg in a few minutes and Jake had to be on it. If he didn’t get the box out before they caught up with him, they would destroy one of the greatest gifts to humanity.
The great universal leader of Mag-13 had been sending genetic material to earth through portals he had set up between our world and his. His purpose was to evolve the human race into an Enlightened state and restore order to our embattled planet.
But the Resistance had other ideas. Their misguided view was this genetic material was going to assimilate humanity into a slave race for Mag-13 and they were doing everything they could to prevent this from happening.
The box Jake was carrying contained the final elements needed to start the transformation. He had been waiting at the Old Piketburg Station Portal for 2 days and now it had finally arrived. Jake was feeling uneasy as the train pulled out of the station. A sense of foreboding hung over him.
And then his eyes opened wide as he realised his mistake. Too late, he heard the murderous screech of metal tearing against metal. The coal truck he was in lurched violently to the side as the train left the damaged rails and ploughed into the ground. The last thing he saw was the box being thrown from the truck and out of sight as he closed his eyes.
It's up to you now. You have to find the box before the Resistance does…
