Geocache Description:

There is a $5.00 parking fee to park at Harbison, but it is worth it. Be prepared for some hilly, but beautiful, terrain. For the best experience, walk there and take in the scenery.

Park at the main parking lot, closest to Broad River Rd, and walk East to get to Firebreak Trail. Stay on Firebreak until it intersects with Midlands Mountain Trail. If time permits, it is recommended to go by foot in order to really enjoy the scenery. If lucky, you make be able to spot some deer near the path! The cache is a small clear container that is about 50 feet from the trail (I didn't bring a tape measure, so those measurements aren't exact). When looking for the cache, please be respectful of the wildlife and tread lightly.  Be aware that your GPS may not be entirely accurate due to tree cover.

This cache was placed with permission from Harbison State Forest. If you are interested in placing your own cache, call 803-896-8890. You will have to go into the office and fill out a permit.
