This is the fifth of a little series I have decided to place in commemoration (or sometimes celebration) of pubs that have disappeared.
I drank in The Sawyers Arms just a couple of times, neither particularly memorable, however more recently I used to drive past it every day on the way to work, until 1 day in December 2013 the pub signs had disappeared and by the end of the week the pub and car park was boarded up.
Update - September 2016 - work has begun on redeveloping the site.
I remember the Sawyers Arms as a landmark, as it prominently sat on the corner (that used to be just a T-Junction). I remember it as a Scout as it was a memorable turning on the way from then home (Heston) to Walton Firs Scout Camp long before the M25 was built.
In it's original position this cache could be called 'How Stealthy Can You Be?' as it is a very busy junction, and even when I placed the cache at 11pm at night, I still had to bide my time. Therefore quite a specific hint was given to hopefully allow a swift find when you get a chance.
Now (Sept 2016) after having to move the cache for a 2nd time due to original hosts disappearing, you are looking for a bison tube. Please make sure you are not being watched.
Happy Hunting
Congratulations Waspbuster and Nomad on FTF
