This cache is near the start of the San Francisco Hot Springs Trailhead. Follow the dirt road from the turnoff on Highway 180. (6 miles south of Glenwood, NM) Go about 1 mile to the Trailhead start. There is a small bathroom and parking area, along with a few good areas for camping. The trailhead is a great little hike downhill to the San Francisco River and a few hot springs. This is a great hike for the entire family. We even saw a beaver in the river.
The cache is a green, plastic ammo can. It is filled with little treasures, along with a "first to find" half dollar. The cache is not too far from the dirt parking area near the trailhead. Enjoy!
