Southerntrekker: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to recent logs I am archiving it.

The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported. Caches that have been archived for lack of maintenance will not be unarchived. This is explained in the Help Center.

Fissure!

Welcome to the return of Fissure! After the orginal (owned by another cacher) was archived...I couldn't let this area go to waste!!

There are two ways to reach this cache; you can either walk over the little orme from the parking area just off Penrhyn Hill, or you can park on Marine Drive. This second option will see you climb a few steps before a relatively short walk to the cache area.

This is not particularly wheelchair / buggy / bicycle / anything with wheels - friendly so please bear that in mind when planning your caching trip!

At the right time of year (Sept - Jan) you may be able to see seal pups in the bay down below. 

There are severe drops down to the sea around this area - please take care with geo-kids, and keep geo-dogs on a leash!

YOU WILL NEED YOUR OWN PEN FOR THIS, AND TWEEZERS ARE A NECESSITY! PLEASE DON'T RUIN THE LOG BY FORCING IT OUT WITH SOMETHING ELSE.
