Dear Agent
We had some reports from hikers in the Port Elizabeth area of some kind of shining slime that left some traces on some rocks close to the supplied coordinates. However upon investigation we could not find the trail it left, just some spots with trace elements of a alien substance known to us.
This could be a serious threat as we believe it could possibly be a type of alien slug like creature. We had previous reports about similiar creatures from our secret space station agents in the Orion constellation. The reports about these creatures found on planet 965 of the Orion constellation, vary. However trace elements of the slime found by other agents are consistent with the ones we found at the Port Elizabeth location.
Serious concerns were raised about these creatures possibly heading to earth. It is believed that should they be exposed to elements of water they can grow extremely fast, become difficult to handle and possibly be extremely dangerous. If not disturbed the creature is small and docile. As far as we know there is no way to kill them and attempting to do so will only agitate them and make it extremely dangerous.
Your brief is simple, go out, investigate and take notes of what you see. At all times be very calm and friendly, especially if the creature is found. If you do find it, please make sure no water touches it. We believe it might also hold some clues within its stomach, thus if found carefully follow these procedures in order to retrieve vital clues and to avoid it becoming agitated:
- Turn the creature on its back and turn the lid like shell anti-clockwise to open the stomach. Do not remove the entire stomach. Caution if the creature is wet it might be more difficult than one would think.
- Examine the objects/organs and make detailed notes of the symbols on it especially the odd one out. Also take note of any magnetic sources.
- All the original contents of the stomach must be returned and no foreign objects placed within.
- Close up stomach using a clockwise motion and return creature in exactly the same way as found.
Report back on your findings; however do not mention anything in regards to the content of the stomach as this will be retrieved from you at a later stage. Feel free to share photos of your location but take care not to expose the creature’s hiding spot as it might have some undesired consequences.
