This cache is placed near the summit of Woodcock Air which stands 129m above sea level above the River Annan. There is a waymarked path (blue, red and green routes) from Hoddom Brig. The walk is a woodland walk which is muddy, especially in winter but is drier towards the top. It's easily done up and down in less than an hour and is quite suitable for children. A couple of strategically placed benches punctuate the short climb.
I was surprised to see the trig point hidden by trees. The cache is nearby, being on the opposite side of the path and slightly uphill. The cache is a small tupperware box.
