I camped here with my family both as a kid, running wild with my brothers, and with my children and their friends. It is a fantastic spot for camping as it is close to Canberra, has toilets and showers (but no power) and the river is great to swim and explore. Cross the weir and take a short walk east to the Murrumbidgee River; great to explore here and you will find some lovely swimming spots.
Please do not park on the road - for safety drive into the camping ground where you should find a spot to park. This can be a busy area so please take care and watch for muggles.
There is no room for swaps and please bring your own pen. Note, dogs are not permitted within the area. You could then take a walk to two other caches: Possum Guardian 2 and Barnyard Animals 3 - a walking trail leads to these two simple caches at the western end of the campground road.
