If 6 was 9 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Aye-yo: I am very surprised that Portland accepted new geocaching guidelines that allows very few geocaches in this huge public park with over 600 acres and many trails. Recently bicyclists protested at several Portland parks. As a result, bicyclists will likely have many of their Portland policy restrictions removed permanently. Obviously, bicyclists have very strong support in Portland while the geocaching community seems to be fading away...

This is a great park to hike along and find some caches. Soon many of the caches here will be archived because the Portland P&R chose to recently enhance restrictions for geocaching while promoting the usage of trails for bicyclists, horses and dogs. Spent many hours putting these caches in place for the entire geocaching community and now they are but a memory. Sad but true...

Geocache Description:

Leave all you troubles behind and come here for an awesome view and a cache. Yo, wave that freak flag high, wave-on wave-on...play on drummer as the song goes. There will likely be some stinging nettles nearby in the summer and fall. You will find the cache just off a dirt ridge trail where you can see some houses to the South below. Look under some small logs on the top of a stump. You must sign the log before you can claim a find. Congrats to NotDrewCurtis for the FTF. Please return the small logs to keep the cache out of plain sight. Then continue up the ridge to see the views become more awesome. Enjoy the hike.
