T-Rex for Terex! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MrFisherman: About nine years of fun but this one is MIA today! Did a wide search and only saw a freshly cut tree in the area. Not sure if that had anything to do with it but the location has definitely been compromised. Thanks for the 21 Favorites, 127 finds and only 13 DNFs. On to the next hide... Mr Fisherman ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŸ

Most of the resident's living in Hudson would agree that within itsโ€™ city limits there are many wetland locations. Stretching from the Northeast to the Southwest but mainly located between Terex Road and Route 303. But did you know that just below the surface of these wetlands are prehistoric tar pits? And furthermore, these tar pits are specifically the resting places of the fierce Tyrannosaurus Rex, affectionately called the T-Rex!

This geocache hide is to honor this little known fact and you never know, Hudson just may be the T-Rex capital of the world! And it's also to remember the dinosaur fossils buried within these tar pits just below the wetlands' of Terex Road.

Welcome to the future site or the Hudson Community Park, "DiNovi Woods". Many thanks go out to the Parks Recreations Department of Hudson for giving permission to place this cache. And by all means, please do practice CITO. PLEASE read the hint for valuable information!

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIND THIS CACHE FROM THE FREEWAY. Please obey all park regulations and only find this cache between dawn and dusk. You can park along the street across from this park at the coordinates listed below.

Because the park is not completed yet, the only way to find this cache is to use the hike and bike trail after you park your vehicle. You may want to bring your anti-bug juice during the summer months! Please trade only the items found in the "SWAG Bag" and leave all other contents of the container as you found them for the next set of cacher's. Please do NOT pull out the T-Rex, it is NOT SWAG! And do bring a writing stick just in case it is missing from within the container. Please shut the container lid firmly, it has been left open in the past and all the contents were ruined by the weather.

Also many thanks goes out to my nephew, "aka 1st born son of the Goinker's", who came up with the name for this chache! Hope you enjoy this pre-historical find and may the Geo-force be with you, good caching to all!
