The cache can be approached from the North, approx. 1.7 miles on decent tracks except for the last couple of hundred metres which can be very muddy,/strong>, , also there will be very muddy areas at final, .
Either way you should arrive at a strange little building, despite a lot of research including talking to foresters who worked here in the 70s I have been unable to find it's original use, nor does it appear on any old maps.
Made of nicely dressed stone it oddly has a concrete slab curved roof, also has two nicely arched windows and a flu, so was heated at one time.
Well worth having a look at a map and satellite view before you go, although there are felled areas not shown on satellite yet.
