Gorgeous view - Worth the short, steady climb up what is Connigar Hill. This hill was the site of the now diminished Sampford Castle/Hill Fort. It lies North of the Village of Sampford Peverell and overlooks not only Sampford but miles of the beautiful Culm Valley.
The cache is a small and fairly camouflaged tupperware box labelled 'Official Geocache'. It contains a logbook/pencil and some other small items for trading. There are two ways of getting to the top of Connigar Hill via pubic footpath. You can either park your car here: 50.924917, -3.378255 (copy and paste these coordinates straight into google maps) or, for those on foot, walk from here: 50.921162, -3.382175. Good luck and be sure to respect the livestock that frequent the area!
