Geocache Description:

Another cache brought to you by a

South

........Carolina

...................Geocacher

This is my first letterbox cache, hopefully it will be enjoyed by all and lead to more in the future.

There is a log book, stamp pad and a rubber stamp in the container (please leave these in the container) as well as some swag items for trade.

There is an unactivated Dog Tag Travel Bug for the first to find.

The Stamp is The Geocaching Bear and will also serve as the background picture and a hint to the location of the container.

This area is Woods Ferry Recreation Area. It is maintained by the US Forestry Department and has places for fishing, hiking, camping, picnicking and a boat ramp to put your vessel into the Broad River. Just be careful going to the south as there is a dam at Neal Shoals that your vessel will not do well at navigating.

There are five other caches in the area that include a puzzle cache and a multi cache as well as some traditionals, so bring the family and your lunch and enjoy spending some time in this beautiful part of the South Carolina Backwoods that we call home. The Sumter National Forest.

Please practice CITO while hunting caches in the area and replace as you found it so the next person can find it as you did.

Thanks for finding my cache and I hope you enjoy your time at Woods Ferry.

Geocaching.com's definition of A LETTERBOX HYBRID Geocache:

A letterbox is a form of treasure hunting using clues instead of coordinates. In some cases, however, the owner has made it both a letterbox and a geocache and posted its coordinates on Geocaching.com. If there is a stamp inside a letterbox hybrid, it is not an item intended for trade; the stamp is meant to remain in the box so that visitors can use it to record their visit.

In the true spirit of Letterboxing the posted coordinates will not bring you to the cache container. You must go to the posted coordinates and then make your way 282 feet in an Easterly direction at a heading of 110°. Once at this location you will find your prize if you have the correct Geo sense.
