Geocache Description:

Commemorates the formation of the 2/22nd Battalion of the AIF

Tallarook is on the northern slopes of the Great Dividing Range, on land that was once central to the territories of the Goulburn Aboriginal tribes, in whose language, Tallarook means ‘call of the wattle birds’. The town is known in Australia for the colloquialism, “Things are crook in Tallarook”, believed to date to the Great Depression and unemployed travelers seeking work.
Trawool lies on the middle reaches of the Goulburn River and on the Goulburn Valley Highway. The Trawool Hotel was established at a river crossing site, presumably in the 1870s The site was initially known as 'Traawool', an indigenous word meaning 'wild water', although the spelling had been changed by 1910.
The cache is not, strictly, on the rail trail but is a detour of a few metres only. It has been moved about a metre as it had been muggled (possibly by a memorial maintenance crew).

Have look at the hills nearby - you may see 2/22 on the hillside (rocks painted white).
