This cache has been archived.

tjippie: Bruno is all fine now a few year down the line.
He needs regular blood tests but has made a full recovery (which is a miracle)

As I don't have a chance to update the log roll often enough this cache will be archived and I'll pick up the cache container soon

thanks for everybody that stopped by

Geocache Description:

This is a small magentic nano cache placed across the road from the University of Glasgow Small Animal Hospital were our family pet, Bruno the Kitten, was taken after eating Lily pollen, which is highly toxic for cats.

Please take care as you need to cross a busy road (a pedestrian crossing can be found a bit further along) and the cache is in an urban area. As it is a NANO cache please bring your own pen/pencil.

PLEASE TAKE CARE AS THIS IS A BUSY ROAD - A PEDESTRIAN CROSSING CAN BE FOUND A BIT FURTHER ALONG THE ROAD

As the weather improves and Easter arrives, lilies become a common sight in households across the country, in bouquets and potted plants. But did you know that certain lilies are very toxic for cats?

Please read up about the effects highly toxic effect of Lilies on cats and mention this to every cat owner your know!

Bruno the Kitten is still currently in hospital on IV fluids and we are hoping he will pull through, I will keep this page updated with any news.

19/1

The vet advised that Bruno is doing really well and his blood tests are all showing ok. They have stopped giving him fluids and will keep him in a few days to see how his kidneys cope with the toxicity.

If everything goes well he will be allowed to come home on the 21st! (fingers crossed)

21/1

Bruno has been released from hospital and has been allowed to come home! He needs to go back next week for some more tests but the signs are good!

Fingers crossed!
