Enter the Shire
I wonder who lives in the shire?
On leaving the car park, head up to the left and enter the shire from there! It seems a popular place for bonfires and camping but I would like to think the doorway to the hobbit hole has concealed the resident fairly well! The GPS is affected a little by the tree cover, so please let me know how you get on. I'm a little wary when providing co-ordinates as I'm not convinced I'm doing it right, especially in an area of woodland.
You will need to take a pen and some tweezers with you. I am unsure how long this cache will last so please do report any maintenance required and I shall get on it!
Take care when exploring Tollohill Woods as there are a lot of interesting quarry(?) holes, which form a few cliffy areas and stagnant pools! In particular, this cache requires a bit of a scramble up if you go direct. Do consider exploring the whole Shire to discover more suitable scrambling ground and pick your way around!
