Geocache Description:

Cache # 201.

By chance, I recently saw a comment from a local cacher who was pleased that he had "Cracked the Ton" for a second time (that is, logged 100 or more caches for the day).

This made me think of creating a Series of Challenges for players who have achieved some high numbers in a day.  I know there are many who like to play hard and get big numbers during their caching runs.

This Series of Challenge Caches is located along Rusholme Road which runs between Beechworth-Wangaratta Road and Great Alpine Road.

To qualify to log this Earth Challenge you must have found 25 or more caches on 20 different days.

As a matter of historical interest:-

In Victoria back in November 2004, Rabbito broke the record for the most caches found in 24 hours in Australia, by finding 33 caches in Victoria. However, I understand that Rhinogeo and Facitman broke Rabbito's record of 33 finds in a day on 8 February 2005 by finding 43 caches in 18 hours.

HawMorFords found 101 in September of 2006, then in October of 2009 The Rats, Big Matt & Shell, FarmersFrentzen and Steeba found 210.

In November of 2010 Tangowithcupcake put out the first large Power Trail - The Albany 100.

With the advent of Power Trails the number of caches found within a 24 hour period have sky-rocketed. Power Trails have made high numbers much easier to obtain and new Trails seem to be appearing at very regular intervals.

Numbers for the first two Challenges in the series could be achieved without the Trails, but in order to complete the final two Challenges you will probably need to embrace "The Power"!!

To the Challenges - There are four in the series and for most people they will be quite a Challenge.

Challenge - Earth - 25 caches/Day on 20 occasions
Challenge - Water - 50 caches/Day on 10 occasions
Challenge - Wind - 100 caches/Day on 5 occasions
Challenge - Fire - 150 caches/Day on 2 occasions

Some rules -

1. Caches can be from anywhere in the world.
2. If you want to do 150 caches/day on 20 occasions these can be used for the lower Challenges.
3. Logs with no qualifying lists will be deleted!

To locate the qualifying numbers for this cache you can trawl through your found caches looking for days you have found a significant number of finds. However, if you happen to use a database manager you will be able to use its extensive filtering functions to assist you. If you require a macro to help you, just drop me a line.

The cache is a micro with log sheet but no pencil.
