Geocache Description:

A nice easy cache in the Churchyard of St John the Baptist, Whitbourne.

Parts of the church date from the 12th Century, but most of what you see dates from 1866. The Lych Gate was contstructed in the 16th Century.

Inside the church you will find the remains of a 14th Century cope, probably worn by the Bishop of Hereford, who used to spend time at Whitbourne court nextdoor.

The cache has been placed by one of the Churchwardens.

There is no need to climb on the wall or any of the graves to reach this cache.
