This year I decided to publish a puzzle series. Dank Lobes is the second cache on the "Tour de Borst". The series consists of five puzzle caches that contain clues for the final, which is also a puzzle. All the puzzles have multiple stages and none are park & grabs. Approximate distance is given for each cache in the series. There are also some easy bonus cache coordinates that can be found in the final. All caches are placed on public land. There is no need to trespass on any private property. Also, please take it easy on the environment. There is no need to tear anything apart. Please BYOP.
As always, use caution when hunting this cache. Since the cache is in Niagara County, there IS poison ivy near by and lots of it! I passed by some splendid examples of poison ivy while scouting this cache. There were some great locations that were totally killed by epic poison ivy formations. While I did not place any cache in poison ivy, you will probably have to walk through it in the summer. Mosquitoes are another story. The good news is that the cache is winter accessible. Quads are not allowed here.
Difficulty rating involves both solving the puzzle and dealing with any trickery in the hides. I reserve the right to change the difficulty based on feed back from finders, DNFs or people who cannot solve the puzzle. Terrain rating based on ClayJar rating system on geocaching. com. Total round trip for this cache is just under 2 and a half miles.
To get the coordinates, simply solve the puzzle below. A coordinate checker is included for your convenience and my entertainment. Remember to record the information found in the final. You will need it to find the last cache in the series. Now get to it!
