Fitzgerald Fiasco Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Chonu: I wasn't planning on archiving this, especially since this was one of my most popular geocaches [over time], but visiting GZ today I knew that this one had run its course. I am not archiving everything I have in this conservation area, so hopefully you will venture a little farther and explore more. Thanks so much to everyone visiting!

Geocache Description:

A massive conservation area in Northampton, MA, Fitzgerald Lake has become known for its varied environment, its recreational opportunities, and its wildlife. There are many new and old caches to find! You will explore near the northwest corner of the physical lake.

There are three main entrances to the Fitzgerald Lake Conservation Area at Cooke Avenue, North Farms Road, and Marian Street. The closest entrance to this cache is North Farms Road, where you can hike in to the lake quickly. There is a small trail off of the dock boardwalk; finding the cache should be quick. It is a small camouflaged container where you pull up the handle from rest and then upward from the ground. BYOP!
