Geocache Description:

A massive conservation area in Northampton, MA, Fitzgerald Lake has become known for its varied environment, its recreational opportunities, and its wildlife. There are many new and old caches to find! You will explore in the northwestern section of the conservation where hunting is permitted.

There are three main entrances to the Fitzgerald Lake Conservation Area at Cooke Avenue, North Farms Road, and Marian Street. The closest entrance to this cache is North Farms Road, where you can hike in to the lake quickly. You can find maps to help you locate the red blazed Hillside Trail, where you will then have to trek at least 300+ feet offtrail in order to find this cache. Many caches at FLCA are close to trails so attempt one of the few "major bushwhacks" here! Hunting is permitted in the northern section of FLCA, so please wear blaze orange. You are looking for a tupperware lock-and-lock.
