To find this cache, follow Pine-Strawberry’s newest trail, The Bearfoot Trail. Limited parking is available at the Rock Wall Trail #608 at mile post 270 on the east side of Hwy 87. (N 34 24.377 W 111 28.931) From the parking waypoint follow the signs to the start of the Bearfoot Trail. Please do not trespass on private property through the nearby subdivision or Camp Lo Mia to access the cache.
As you near the cache, look for the spur trail at N 34 24.202 W 111 27.608. Following the spur trail will reduce footprint impact.
The Bearfoot Trail is part of a community effort and the vision of Captain Mike Brandt of the Pine-Strawberry Fire Dept. to reduce wildfire risk in the hamlets of Pine and Strawberry. During 2013, many volunteers worked to complete the Bearfoot Trail in time for the Fire on the Rim mountain bike race held in September.
