Game Birds ... Challenge Mystery Cache
retiredprof: In light of geocaching's recent changes to the publishing rules, I am archiving all 150 of my challenge caches. I am a retired psychology professor, not a computer programmer. I am simply unable to comply with the new geochecker rules. I am sad that I have to do this. For those who have already begun any of my challenge caches, please note that you can still log archived caches. If you have any problems with this decision, please contact the geocaching authorities so that your suggestions may be considered.

The cache is located along the east side of the Feather River. Park at the yellow gate (394/654) and hike south on the levee. After .15 miles veer west onto the river trail and hike about a mile. Eventually, you will have to leave the main trail and use animal trails. And be sure to read the logging requirements below.
Lately, we have seen geese flying overhead, ducks paddling on the river, and pheasants on the edge of the rice field. Now it's your turn. You must find 27 caches, 5 with "pheasant" in the title, 10 with "goose" in the title, and 12 with "duck" in the title. No plurals or other variations of the words, no lab or locationless caches, and only one cache from a series is allowed. Please include three different types (icons) of caches in/on your list. See my examples below. And I hope you see a colorful rooster or wood duck during your travels...
