Geocache Description:

キャッシュは香流側砂防公園にあります。

この付近では土砂の流出が多く砂防指定地とされ古くから砂防工事が行われていました。
これまでは山腹の植樹や砂防ダム・流路の整備がおこなわれてきましたが、大雨の時には大量の土砂が流下し下流部では洪水の危険が考えられるため砂溜工を施し大雨の時には土砂を溜める施設をつくりました。
普段は公園として利用されています。
