We've been enjoying the winter hides of many local cachers and we wanted to give everyone a chance to get out and stretch their legs.
This popular winter locale has been well populated with caches on the north side of the highway, but considerably less so on the south side of the highway. We aim to fix that a little with these two caches!
As this is essentially back country travel, I won't give extensive details to these ones, other than to say, to get to this cache, after finding Just Past Surprise Cabin, continue up the trail until you access an old road. Go left, follow the road around, and when you get within 200m or so, look for a trail branching off the the left (trail dependent on snow fall). While on the road, the cache site is up on the ridge to your left.
I would recommend turning on the track feature on your GPS, if you're unfamiliar with the area.
Summer access might be a bit tougher without an actual trail to this point, but it is entirely possible to access this location in summer. Please note in your log if there are any issues with summer retrieval.
Parking is best at the Seven Summits North Access point, located at the summit of Nancy Greene Pass.
Cache is a small L&L, but I've included a spoiler pic in case the coords are off a little. You'll need to bring a writing utensil as I forgot to include one!
