This geocache is located near the campus of Stetson University Celebration Center (with permission of the Director of the Center). Stetson University is a nationally ranked university founded in 1883, with four colleges and schools located across central Florida. The Celebration Center has been in existence since 2001. It offers master's degree programs in business administration, marriage and family therapy, school counseling and educational leadership along with continuing education courses in professional development and information technology.
In 2012, the Stetson Lifelong Learning Program was started.The mission of Stetson Lifelong at Celebration is to provide residents of Celebration and the nearby areas an educational place for intellectual discussion while interacting with other mature adults in a social environment. The effort is focused on membership, and those who are willing to volunteer their time and talents to teach, and develop courses and activities.
One of those courses is Geocaching for Beginners and this geocache was hidden in aid of that course and in honor of Stetson Lifelong Learning Program at Celebration.
Parking nearby. The cache is on the periphery of the campus so there is no need to enter the building or patio. Do no damage to landscaping, etc. so Stetson will continue to allow the geocache in the area.
