Geocache Description:

International and North Glade are double-black-diamond runs on the front of Arapaho Basin ski area. There is no easy way in, and there is no easy way out. Hiking in the summer may be extremely difficult as well.

When you look at the front of Arapahoe Basin from Loveland Pass, there is an area between the Black Mountain Express lift and the Pallavacini lift where it looks like the front of the mountain fell off. International and North Glade are two double-black-diamond runs in the right (West) portion of this area.

This is an area of steep pitches between tree islands, rock bands, and cliffs. The snow can vary from deep powder, wind blown, moguls, or hardpack, depending on the recent weather and skier traffic. The cache is a mega-micro, easily visible on a vertical bare dead pine log, between these two runs.

This run is rated double black diamond by Arapahoe Basin. There is no easy way in, and there is no easy way out. Hiking in the summer may be extremely difficult as well. The only reason this is not a T5 is because it is not in the alleys or up on the East Wall!

Initial contents include log, a whistle, an unactivated micro coin for FTF, and some small swag.

*** Congratulations to jsarche for being FTF! ***
