I placed this cache here because this is a place that we have recently come to love. Many years ago there was a barbeque restaurant here called Horne's. I can remember going to eat there occasionally with my family when I was a child. They had great bbq sandwiches. More than that, though, I recall my daddy talking about the crew he worked in at the Power Co. stopping there at times for lunch when they would be working on a job in town. It was a very popular place with the locals.
If you choose to grab this cache, you may want to check out the nearby cuisine while you are here--it is still barbeque! You might also enjoy sitting outside (if the weather permits) and watching the ducks swim and play in the lake across the street. Sometimes they'll come over and join you, but please don't feed them! You might see other waterfowl and birds in the area, too. Who knows, you may even see a hoot owl!
