The Panboola Fairytale Once upon a time, the birds of Pambula became very scared and angry, their once peaceful homeland was at risk of development. For many years they lived in fear that heir homes would be destroyed by what some humans called progress. Then finally a wonderful group of local citizens, the Far South Coast bird club and the local Rotary club decided to join forces and turn the area into Panboola, sanctuary for all the birds.
Whilst most of the birds were happy and settled into the easy way of life, some remained concerned. Could they really trust humans not to change their minds and to care for the birds? One such group of birds remained angry at the humans and decided they needed to protect their own homes! They held many meetings to discuss the issue of how to keep their homes safe, at one such meeting one young bird said " I know what we need to do, I remembered a tale my mother use to tell me about the greatest home protector in the kingdom, He's called 'little pig!' And he protected his home from a big bad wolf, I'm sure he'll help us, and he did and everyone lived happily ever after.......and a cache was born
