Like the sign says Welcome To Newtownmountkennedy

Newtownmountkennedy  is a small town in Co. Wicklow Ireland. It developed within the historic townland of Ballygarny. It acquired its present name in the mid-seventeenth-century, when Sir Robert Kennedy, M.P. for Kildare, made it his principal residence. It is just off the N11 to Wexford.  This was a nice little village on the N11 Dublin to Wexford route, but the village was bypassed by the new N11 dual carriageway in 1990.

The headquarters of Coiltte, the Irish Forestry Board, are situated in the village forest.

The area is well served by bus services. Dublin Bus route 184 runs every half an hour connecting the town with Kilpedder, Greystones and Bray. Bus Eireann route 133 runs every hour off peak and up to every 15 minutes on peak connecting the town with Dublin, Bray and Wicklow.

There is parking for 1 or 2 cars at the cache site.

The cache is accessible from the road side. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not climb over the fence as you WILL be trespassing. The easiest way to retrieve the cache is with a magnet.
