Near the middle of downtown Asheville, is a small triangular world called Pritchard Park. People of all ages and walks of life can be found here. Some come to play boardgames, gather with family and friends, meditate, protest, or just sit and people-watch. There is room for everyone. On Friday evening it is transformed into a booming playground of sound and motion thanks to the scores of locals and tourists who come to take part in the drum circle.
Amongst all the goings-on are some almost unnoticed artifacts along the perimeter of the park: 2 colorful birdhouses; 1 along the Northern side, and 1 at the West end near the Art Gecko. (If there is a 3rd Birdhouse on the East end, ignore it for this cache. It seems to come and go) The listed coordinates are not to the cache, but will take you to the center of the park. Use the 2 birdhouses and the clues below to find the final coordinates of the cache that is stashed at:
N35° 35.ABC'
W82° 33.DEF'
Northern Side Birdhouse
A = # of letters in name of shape of the window on back gable
B = # of red doors
C = # of letters in primary color of porch base PLUS # of columns on front porch
West End Birdhouse
D = # of sides on the shape around the back window
E = # of windows on sides of house MINUS # of steeples on top
F = # of decorative round objects on front of house
CHECKSUM: A+B+C+D+E+F=XY . X+Y=9
The cache is within walking distance of the park. You are looking for a small tin big enough for small TB's and swag. If you choose to search at night, you will probably need a flashlight as the park is not well lit. BYOP.
