Geocache Description:

This is a Cache In Trash Out event to help clean up Lake LouEmma! We did this last year and made a big difference!  This CITO will fall on the official International Geocaching CITO weekend (April 26th and 27th). Plus, I'll have some CITO giveaways.

The weekend before on the 19th, Keep Van Buren Beautiful will host other events.  The local junior high will be cleaning city park and there is an e-waste event for those of you who have old computer stuff at the bus barn in Industrial park. We were going to do this CITO on the same date as the KVBB events, but found out when Geocaching's official CITO was and decided to change our cleanup date. You will earn a souvenir for this event!

We will meet at the lake at the above coordinates at 9 a.m. And should end by 11 a.m. I will have the CITO logbook here to sign and if you have trackables to trade, please feel free to bring them.

You might also want to bring work gloves, hand sanitizer, and the long reach trash grabbers/picker-uppers if you have them. I will also have a first aid kit on hand. I would also suggest enclosed shoes, there are venomous creepy crawlies out here, I've seen them when fishing. Since we will be around water, let me share my little saying with you regarding cottonmouths/water moccasins and regular ole non-venomous water snakes. "Up on top stops the clock, down below you're good to go". Water moccasins keep their whole body on top of the water when they swim (although they can swim below water as well) but when they're swimming on top their whole body is on top. Non venomous water snakes, swim with only their head sticking out and their body down below the water. Just a handy saying from me to you. ;)

KVBB should provide some gloves, trash bags and maybe even t-shirts!

There are also some nearby caches so feel free to grab those too! Afterwards if folks want to hang around like last year and go grab some food from the nearby establishment and eat at the picnic tables, well I wouldn't be opposed. :D
