Geocache Description:

A waterproof match container hid along the sloped bank of the Kanawha River.

Cache can be easily accessed via a roadside pull off on Winfield Road (Rt 817).  This cache is more difficult to find than the nearby "Scouting for Way to St. Albans". If you were afraid of that cache, don't even bother with this one.

Cache is located on a wooded slope covered with plant growth, dirt, mud, briars, and rocks. Slope ends in the Kanawha River. In the winter, you may have to deal with snow and ice on the hill. In the summer, you have more plants and briars to deal with plus you have the added possibility of encountering snakes. Terrain rating is based on the worst case scenario.

There were hundreds of places I could have hid this cache. I made a wild guess at the difficulty rating based on the container size, terrain you have to cover, and large number of potential hiding places. Also, GPS coordinates on a slope are sometimes misleading.

Feedback from the first few finders on terrain and difficulty will be taken into consideration and D/T may be adjusted accordingly.

There is a hint for this cache, but if you haven't already found the nearby "Scouting for a Way to St. Albans" cache, the clue is of no use to you.
