Blow Me Down Ridgetop Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MakinTraks: Despite an extensive search to find the cache in order to replace the wet log, we came up empty-handed. Since no one had found it in over 2 years, it was decided to archive it.

Geocache Description:

Blow Me Down Ridgetop Cache is located west of the Forestry Trunk Road on a roller-coaster trail that bisects a multitude of ridges.  Some good views can be had here.  At this spot and others in 2005, a massive blowdown of trees happened, blocking many trails in the area.  It took many volunteer hours over a number of months to finally clear the trails.

Lots of up/downs on this trail

This series of caches will be gradually added to as we find new spots for placing a cache. We do not consider this series to be "hiker-friendly" because of the long distances involved along with many gains/losses of altitude while getting over a multitude of ridges. This cache can be accessed by many modes of transport, ohvs being the preferred method in this area. 4X4 trucks are relegated to the winter months only on this particular trail. (Dec 1 - Mar 15) Please take all precautions necessary for safe backcountry travel. And of course, have fun!

Please park off the trail at the top of the hill so that you don't block other OHV traffic that might happen by and walk the short, relatively level distance to the cache.
