St. Leonard's church was very much altered and enlarged at different times during the 19th C.

The Perp west tower is original and has three stages, diagonal buttresses to the lower stages, rectangular buttresses above, and a panelled embattled parapet with panelled pinnacles surmounted by crocketed finials.

The south aisle was added in 1835. It is Late Perp in style with an arcade of four-centred arched openings and windows. There is a double sanctus bellcote to the east nave gable.

The Norman doorway illustrated here has been re-set and has an arch with roll-moulding and dogtooth ornament, and jamb shafts with scalloped capitals.

The font is a Norman tub-shaped bowl. The reredos by Woodyer is in gold mosaic.

There is stained glass in the church by William Wailes, 1849, Bosdet, 1905; and Evans, 1859. In the churchyard there is a rectangular sundial , possibly 18th C, on a 19th C base.
