Ornithological Reserve Savica is a small swamp area within City of Zagreb. It is a system of 12 small lakes and a home of numerous plant and animal species.
It is especially important for migratory birds that use this reserve as a rest point in their migration. Other types of birds are also characteristics of these lakes and more than 160 different bird species are registered in this reserve.
