Located a beautiful park on the banks of the Richmond River, this is a great place for a bbq or bike riding. There is a fantastic playground for the kids and is a good place for an evening walk or just to come fishing off the wharf.
There are plenty of restaurants and other faciliities around also. The cache name came from watching the pelicans flying and swimming around while we enjoyed the view and our ice cream.
At times this can be a very high muggle area so you might need to pick the time to come, thus the higher difficulty rating

NOTE: This new cache replaces the original cache of the same name GC42KGQ. The area was blocked off to the public due to storm damage to the building next to GZ. The temporary fences have now been removed and the area is now available to the public again. The original cache is still there and ready to be found again.
