Geocache Description:

This cache is near the holding pond on the Pacific Union College property.


A hungry Manzanita has eaten this cache.  You’ll have to disgorge it carefully. 

At certain time at low water, you can circumnavigate this trail all the way around.  You’ll nearly always see a nice collection of water birds on the pond.

Please CAREFULLY replace the cache.

The cache is log only.  Bring your own pencil.

As always in this area, keep an eye out for poison oak, though there was none in the area when the cache was placed.

Once you’re finished, take some time to do some further hiking and geocaching in the area. Hikers are welcome on college property, but please no smoking or drinking. Thanks for carrying out any trash – yours or other.

Parking is available at near Los Posadas state forest.

You can approach the cache in two ways

  1. from Virgil O. Parrett Field (Angwin Airport): N 38° 34.259 W 122° 26.006
  2. from Los Posadas State Forest parking: N 38 34.160 W 122 25.424 (less elevation gain/loss)
