Geocache Description:

This cache is placed a little distance from the Church due to the close proximaty of another cache.There is parking available next to GZ.Please take time to have a wonder around this lovely village.


The Chapel is situated in the High street in the centre of the village.Weston Rhyn is recorded as Westune in the Domesday Book. Tun or ton means a settlement or hamlet, rhyn means a hill or mount. Originally the townships of Weston Rhyn and Bronygarth were in the Parish of St. Martins. In 1870 they were formed into a separate ecclesiastical district known as “the Lodge” (the inn still bears its name), and then in 1898 into the civil parish of Weston Rhyn..Regular services are held here. A memorial to T. Osborne Roberts a musician, born in 1879 in Weston Rhyn, known for such works as 'Good Shepard' and 'Brwydr y Baltic',is on the front wall.
