Geocache Description:

キャッシュは「白文鳥発祥の地」の碑の近くにあります。

白文鳥は明治初年に弥富のこの地域より突然変異により誕生しました。
これを飼育改良の結果、弥富は日本唯一の白文鳥の特産地にまで発展しました。
しかし、現在では生産量、出荷量とも激減し、生産者の高齢化、後継者不足もあり、日本一の産地として弥富の名声を支えてきた弥富文鳥組合も解散してしまった状態です。
今後の行く末が心配です。



Cache is located at the monument of "The birthplace of white java sparrow".
This bird was born by mutation from the region of yatomi in the early Meiji era. Result of improved breeding, this area has developed into specialty areas of white Java sparrow of most in Japan. However, production volume, shipments also decreased sharply by now, there is the aging of the producer, also successor shortage, "yatomi Java sparrow union" was disbanded.
