A nano cache at the Congregational Church in Crediton, intended to be the first in a series following the Crediton Town walking trail.
The Cong in Crediton was established in 1757, with the current church building built in 1865 to seat 650 people: the Church and Manse themselves are Grade 2 listed. Congregational churches are one of the oldest non-conformist denominations within Protestant Christianity: this church is one of 21 in the South West who are part of the Congregational Federation. In practice, each church is governed by their members.
You can park in the St Saviours Way car park up the hill opposite the church (recommended if you are doing the Crediton Town Trail) or on the High Street for a cache and dash. The church's own car park is for permit holders only unless you are attending a church service or event held in the church. This is a lively and active church, as well as a busy market town, so stealth will be required. It's recommended to avoid service times on Sunday mornings if you want to avoid some funny looks!
