Geocache Description:

A simple multi-cache, celebrating a multitude of cut-throughs.

The Cut-Through Calm Series pays homage to the Motorway Madness, etc. series, but celebrates handy cut-throughs for those on foot, bike, pushchair, etc. A lot of caches are placed on/near footpaths, but this series is only for those based specifically on cut-throughs in urban locations. Of course, we do not wish to cause any alarm, so footpaths with houses are also excluded.

In honesty we are not expecting this series to expand across the nation, but you are welcome to continue the series or reuse the idea (in as much as it is an idea). We hope to place more ourselves, too.

While there is an element of humour in honouring cut-throughs, some are rather pretty and others offer a new way of discovering an area. We hope you enjoy visiting them.

This is a multi-cache but it's also a multi-cut-through! The area between Moulton Drive and Trowbridge Road (most of it known as Southway Park) has several routes which are faster on foot than by car!

For this cache, we recommend you park on Moulton Drive near the above co-ordinates and take in a few of the cut-throughs in this area.

At the starting point, you should be between a lamp-post and a shorter sign. The lamp-post has a four-digit number ABCD. The sign has E large words, which include F letter O's, and G letter S's.

(The sign is currently on the ground - if it disappears, another copy can be found at N 51° 20.211 W 002° 14.755.)

The final cache is a short walk away, at N51 20.E(D-E)F, W002 14.(A+G)BC.

You may want to find one way there and another back, just for fun. Some routes will be muddier than where you start, after rain.

The container shouldn't tax seasoned cachers, but will hopefully not be found by passers-by. You may need tweezers or similar to extract the log.

Congratulations to antpeng who was FTF all four (so far)!
