This CARW2014 cache will be published about 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 27, 2014. Please remember that caches CANNOT be hunted until 9:00 am on SATURDAY March 1, 2014. Should you hunt and find this cache prior, it will not count for the event, and FTF points are only valid starting 9:00 am on March 1, 2014.
For CARW2014, I thought I'd put out another mini power trail although this one is pretty basic. All of the containers are small lock and locks hidden in the usual spots. Most of them should be easy enough to find and they are all winter-friendly. The idea behind this power trail was to keep it fairly easy and family friendly and to get people out on a nice walk through MacKinnon ravine. There is a jogging/biking path that runs the whole length of the trail and most of the caches aren't too far from the path, although a few of them might require a little bit of bushwhacking and/or hill climbing. This trail is best done on a bike or on foot. Or, if there are 2 of you then you could park one car near one end and drive to the other end and park the other car and walk the trail and then you won't have too far to walk when you're done. Also, if you look on Google Earth, you will notice that there are a number of stairways to get down into the ravine at different spots along the trail so make sure to use those. Finally, it doesn't matter though which end you start at. Have fun!!
