After a VERY LONG Winter - let's celebrate the end of Winter and the coming of Spring with our Tenth annual Greater Dayton Winter Getaway Event.

Since St. Patrick's Day is upon us and we are all thinking Spring - let's Go Green!

When: Sunday March 16th, 2014 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM

Where: Taylorsville MetroPark CCC Shelter

Why: Talk about Geocaching and finally get out of the house for a couple hours of Geocaching Fun!

This year the Getaway is all about getting out of the house and finally enjoying the great outdoors in the Dayton Area!
We will be meeting at the CCC Shelter at Taylorsville MetroPark and promoting geocaching in the Five Rivers Metroparks. Topics will include the policies and procedures for the park system. We will also share some of the history of the metropark system.

We will have access to the fireplace at the shelter just in the event the winter does not want to go away just yet.

We will be releasing some brand new geocaches for everyone to find and share some local dendrology!

We will have some snacks and hot chocolate to share and others are encouraged to bring a snack or family friendly refreshment to share as well.

The 2014 MVG Travel Bug Race will begin with the events on 3-16-14.
Once again there will be 2 categories, one that you release and one that travels along with you.
Cost of the racers are $8.00 or 2 for $15.00 (cash/check only) If you are interested in purchasing one or more travel bugs please contact osubrownsfan or leave a note here on the cache page.
