Am 5. April 2014 laden deutschlandweit Sternwarten und Planetarien zum Astronomietag ein. Das Haus der Astronomie auf dem Heidelberger Königstuhl öffnet an diesem Tag exklusiv für Geocacher kostenfrei seine Pforten. Ab 17 Uhr wird im Foyer des Gebäudes das Logbuch ausliegen. Um 17:30 Uhr könnt ihr euch gemeinsam mit uns im Planetarium auf eine Reise durch das Universum begeben. Bei klarem Himmel werden Teleskope bereitstehen, mit denen ihr einen Blick auf die Sonne oder den Mond werfen könnt. Ihr könnt uns natürlich auch nach Tips für die Lösung des einen oder anderen Mysterys mit astronomischem Hintergrund oder alles was ihr schon immer über Astronomie und Astrophysik wissen wolltet fragen.
Parken könnt ihr direkt gegenüber auf dem Parkplatz des Max-Planck-Instituts für Astronomie. Der Cachernachwuchs ist bei diesem Event ebenfalls herzlich willkommen, aber gebt bitte bei eurer Anmeldung unbedingt an, mit wievielen Personen ihr kommt, damit wir bei Bedarf eine Wiederholung der Planetariumsvorführung einplanen können.
Ergänzung: Es wird nicht nur eine, sondern mindestens drei Planetariumsshows geben, Beginn jeweils um 17:30, 18:15, 19:00 und gegebenenfalls 19:45. Das Logbuch liegt bis 21 Uhr aus.
On April 5th 2014, observatories and planetariums all over Germany will host the Astronomy Day. The House of Astronomy on top of the Königstuhl in Heidelberg will open exclusively for geocachers and without any fee on that day. The logbook will be available in the entrance area of the building from 5 pm onwards. At 5.30 pm, you can join us in the planetarium for a journey through the Universe (the show will however be in German). When skies are clear, telescopes will be set up to observe the Sun or the Moon. You can also ask us for hints to solve mysteries with an astronomical background, or any other question about astronomy and astrophysics that comes to your mind.
You can use the big parking area of the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy opposite the house of Astronomy. Junior cachers are welcome at this event as well, but please state how many people will come when you sign up for the event so that we can schedule a second planetarium session if needed.
Edit: There will be not only one but at least three planetarium shows, starting at 17.30, 18.15, 19.00 and maybe also 19.45. The logbook will be available until 9pm.
